Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde 2003
@Samuel, you recommended this to me when you declared it as one of your four favourites with a devastating pause before the “two” that I have not forgotten. I don’t remember the last time I saw such a mid film that relentlessly believed in itself and brought it home. Watched with my daughter who summed it up, “That was so good and so shit at the same time.”

Bring It On 2000
I had seen this once, in cinemas, when it came out in NZ. This rewatch wasn’t anything like as great as I remembered it. It’s a good fun film, with clear DNA that turns into Pitch Perfect, and a side helping of lines that haven’t aged so well—we straddle a time in history when gay is both derogatory and welcome in the one film.

Top Gun 1986
I've bought the DVD, the soundtrack, watched the making of and dreamed about Kelly McGillis more than one time. The film that did more for Air Force enlistments than anything else will do the same for you.
If you've ever been holding on too tight with a bunch of oiled up dudes then you will lose your edge over Top Gun again and again.
