A good Batman movie but only a mediocre film. Pattinson and Dano are woefully misused. While it has atmosphere in spades, it feels like a video game brought to the big screen instead of a fleshed out, lived-in world. Cerebrally engaging, with beautiful sets and a beautiful damsel in distress(?), but a bit of a drag. A bourgeois ghost story, with a woman caught between a balding possible gaslighter and fucking Nim champion Dracula, all entombed in the snow globe world of the mansion.
