Do you know that feeling when a movie drained and floored you with it's emotional power?
I feel that every single goddamn time I watch Moonlight and it only get's more powerful on every rewatch.
The first two acts are deeply necessary, but they are for the most part just (fantastic, raw) buildup for the third act, who is the single most cathartic and intimate experience I have ever experienced on the big screen.
So much anxiety, so much desire, so much unspoken...and suddenly *boom*...the words are out. The earth just moved. Hearts explode. Everything fades into the background. Finally comfort. Finally [yourself].
