I went back and forth between being engaged, annoyed, and just completely lost. That might be my own fault and I may just need to see it again. Possessor was such an interesting sci fi horror movie unlike anything I’ve seen before and it was constantly thrilling, I love that movie and I don’t think infinity pool quite lived up to that unfortunately. Though it’s impossible to downplay the incredible acting talent that is on display here, Mia and Alexander are both fantastic although I think James is a rather bland protagonist. Intriguing concept for sure but I’m not sure if it really goes anywhere that rewarding. 3/5 to give this movie the benefit of a doubt and I will always be excited to see what Brandon Cronenberg does next cause I’m still waiting on his The Fly or videodrome cause he shows a lot of potential.
