Jonathan’s review published on Letterboxd:
I love the way Roma looks and feels - the wide-depth of field, its slow and sober gaze, the distance from which it follows Cleo, making the film as much about a people and a moment in history as it is about her.
I also love how quiet and alive it is, substituting soundtrack for lush sound design that rises and falls and really embeds one in the world outside the frame. I would happily listen to the audio of this film sans dialogue.
