Jye Briscoe’s review published on Letterboxd:
Really didn’t know too much about this one before going in as the trailers didn’t really give away much in the way of plot, which I think only added to the vibe and mystery of Guillermo Del Toro’s latest.
Nightmare Alley has a great cast and that dark Del Toro feel all over it. It’s certainly not his best though, I loved the first and third acts but there’s definite pacing problems with the second.
Still, this is another great film from the director and I can’t wait to see whatever he does next.
