Fucking Spectacular. It feels so good to see Spike make something radical again after Blackkklansmen. I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised at how suspenseful and action heavy this was. The mine scene literally brought me to tears because i was so on edge. The entire cast is fantastic, but Delroy Lindo gives an all timer performance in this film. He takes this character that could've easily been a parody and injects him with so much humanity and raw emotion. He manages to make him sympathetic even when he’s in the wrong. His first direct to camera monologue is gonna stick with me forever. The use of Marvin Gaye songs throughout was such a great choice. I really loved this.
