Bryan Colley’s review published on Letterboxd:
The subject matter is right up my alley. Eugene O'Neill is my favorite playwright, and I'm a fan of the Emperor Jones movie with Paul Robeson, but the script just isn't very strong. There are a few good scenes and good ideas, but overall it's scattered and skips over lots of major character transitions. It's too bad because the actors are all very good, and it would probably work better as a stageplay than a film.
