This review is for The Human Condition Trilogy

The Human Condition trilogy is definitely Kobayashi most ambitious project. Despite the total runtime exceed the 9 hours, the story is flawless and totally engaging helped by the incredibles visuals conceived by Kobayashi's mastermind. The black and white photography makes this film timeless. The framing and the blocking is pure gold. The camera movements to follow the depicted action is perfectly choreographed.

Tatsuya Nakadai performance is brilliant. He is almost in every…

    Three Sad Tigers

Tres Tristes Tigres is one of the most remarkable works of the Chilean "nouvelle vague" and probably Raul Ruiz's best film directed in Chile.
The Black and White cinematography made this film timeless. Ruiz was a master on composing and blocking.
It's amazing the freedom with the story flows, Ruiz makes us wander with the three main characters without knowing where the journey will take us.
