A rapturous convergence of queer romance, psychosexual drama and magical realist coming-of-age imbued with beguiling mysteries and very little answers. The film boasts many clever, never gimmicky structural tricks but Mysius’ elemental visual sense and rejection of the expected is what really stands out — alongside an always tremendous Adèle Exarchopoulos. So much to love here. A total eclipse of the heart!
