Julian Nunez’s review published on Letterboxd:
Very much a nocturnal companion piece to Chungking Express’ free-flowing, vibrant expression of yearning and love-lost in Hong Kong. Feels even more experimental than that exceptional work; lots of wide-angle compositions and idiosyncratic formal touches like the the slow-mo shoutouts which are just wild, giving way to such intoxicating lonely, smokey late-night vibes. A sensorial experience in every sense. Adored it, of course.
