Imagine having Mads Mikkelsen as your high school teacher.
Four men decide to consistently stay buzzed from alcohol in the hopes that it might improve their lives. This film considers the ramifications of a culture that worships, and also fears, the impacts of alcohol. It explores middle-aged men attempting to hold on to excitement in life and deal with the doldrums of day to day existence. There was a lot here I could identity with and found interesting. The cast is really special, adding gravitas to a script that's good but could feel boring with lesser actors.
It does a pretty good job dealing with it's themes and it looks great.
