a delicacy, a pastel delight, a perfect slice of wes anderson. a charming storybook that’s occasionally invaded by the barbaric slaughterhouse that was once known as humanity. my favorite comedy by far.

The moment Zimmer’s score starts ticking off your time, you’re stuck on the beaches and on the boats with these soldiers as they’re barraged and bombed; you can only scramble to survive.
