Phone rings, "What's your favorite horror movie", teenagers, meta-gags, rules are explained, whodunit, reveal, in between a few kills that you've seen a hundred times before. One or two things were alright - that's it.

The Batman is a damn good Batman film!
It is not a copy of The Dark Knight or any other Batman film.
The Batman is something different, something original, something new. It's a crime thriller, a film noir, a detective story, the hunt for a serial killer.
The Batman is not an action flick.
The action is finely dosed, but when it comes it really kicks ass, superbly staged and topped off with one of the best car chases I'veโฆ
Denis Villeneuve did it again and added another hit to what I think has been a very impressive filmography up to now. Basically, I knew next to nothing about Dune beforehand, I didn't know the books or the Lynch film and, apart from a short teaser, I didn't even watch the trailers.
Just the fact that he made this film was enough for me. After all, with Sicario and Blade Runner 2049, this man made two of my absolute favoriteโฆ
