Def a bit of a downer of a film, but I liked it overall. Ethan Hawke gives a tour de force performance.

I loved it. I understand the divisive response to the movie, but I think that it's a great companion to the original film, and doesn't take away anything from the original at all. I loved the twist of Susie being Mother Suspirioum, the entire time, and felt that it added a lot. Tilda Swinton slayed as usual, and Dakota Johnson really surprised me. Thom Yorke's score is perfection.

Definitely an improvement from the first movie in most instances. Better cinematography, dialogue, humor, and pacing. As far as the ABBA songs chosen, I personally would've chosen different ones- Too many ballads. Highlights of the movie in no particular order.

    1. Cher's singing Fernando

    2. Angeleyes (a true ABBA hidden gem)

    3. Christine Baranski

    4. My Love, My Life (which I'm 99.9 sure made everyone in the theatre cry).

As far as what bothered me, the continuity errors were annoying,…

This was the first movie that actually left me speechless upon leaving the theatre. It took a few moments for me to regain my composure. Def worth a watch, if you're ready to get fucked up.
