There is something about the way Steve MCQueen shoots a film that is so transfixing. The performances by Michael Fausbender and Carey Mulligan are great. There relationship has some interesting undertones. But I guess I wish this as a whole was more fleshed out. I didn’t feel like I got a true feel for these characters and there wasn’t an arc or a climax as much as it just kind of petered out. Definitely a lot of talent involved that you can certainly feel,( Omg that tracking shot Fausbender jogging is a thing of beauty) just felt a little hollow at its core.
