A perfect horror film. Tons of blood and screaming. Gothic surrealism, possession, and satanic cult orgies. Actually quite frightening as well. Fantastic on every technical level. The cinematography, set design, and acting are all amazing. This has a beautiful dark synth score to go with all the cunning drama and full blown madness. Some incredibly complex storytelling. The finale of this is among the greatest I’ve seen. Should definitely be held as high as something like The Exorcist. Absolutely love it.

Glorious action, badass shootouts, brutal torture, ultra violence, crazy dirt bike madness, biker babes in colorful costumes, terribly awkward ass kicking, and hilarious explosions. Part women in prison flick, part gonzo gun blazing action joint. Exactly what I wanted it to be and more. Fuckin’ loved it!

A pretty well crafted little horror film. I wasn’t totally invested in all the walking around looking at mold on the walls. Though it does tackle some heavy themes and has some truly frightening moments. Altogether this was just kind of a slog. Still liked it but nothing too special going on here.

A pretty much dead franchise revived by this refreshing new take. Surprisingly this is really fuckin’ great. Super gory at times. The first new horror film I’ve seen in a while that has actually impactful violence. Incredibly well shot. Some fantastic visuals, especially towards the end. Stellar performances across the board. Beautifully paced, the 110 minutes flew by. Covered a shit ton of ground during that runtime. Had no expectations going into this and I’m kinda blown away. Loved it.

Probably should have rated this even higher, but I’ll leave that for the rewatch.

Can’t believe it took me so long to see this noir masterpiece. A brilliant mix of sexual tension, fear, jealously, desire, and loathing. An incredibly palpable chemistry on screen at all times. Ford and Hayworth are absolutely incredible. Also Steven Geray, George Macready, and Joesph Calleia are all stellar. Absolutely incredible. What a picture.

Rita Hayworth in this film has to be one of the most gorgeous women to ever grace the silver screen.

Amazing direction and visuals keep this afloat. Found myself not totally invested in what was going on. Still had some incredible scenes and revelations. A more than stellar finale. Damn good entertainment.
