  • Thor: Love and Thunder

    Thor: Love and Thunder

This is the first of the Thor movies I throughly enjoyed.

This film had it all: humor, great visuals, a terrifying villain, and some heart. Definitely got some feels from this movie and I’m not mad at it.

I also liked that this movie is almost completely self-contained (minus the guardians appearing I guess) so even non-MCU fans who haven’t been up to date with every entry in the franchise can enjoy it.

    P.S.: there’s screaming goats.

  • Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe

Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe

I was curious to see if Beavis and Butthead could work in 2022 and it absolutely does. The film definitely feels like a proper sequel to the 1990’s show and movie “Beavis and Butthead Do America” with some modern jokes that don’t feel too shoehorned in.

I laughed pretty hard throughout the whole thing. I just wish it wasn’t a movie that was sent straight to a streaming service that next to nobody has. Give movies a chance and if you don’t do theaterical releases at least do physical releases.

  • The Black Phone

    The Black Phone

I have to admit, this movie surpassed every expectation I had for it. There were moments that scared me, there were moments that I was on the edge of my seat, and moments where I would wonder “what the f*ck” and laugh out loud.

Definitely worth the watch if you’re curious.

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

I was honestly expecting to be bombarded with cameos from Marvel movies past but thankfully that is not what I got. Instead I received an entertaining trip through a multiverse that leaves our characters in interesting places to develop. I’d also say that this is a marvel movie that the young ones should skip—at many points in the back half it does feel a bit like a horror movie.

Also, it provides a post credit scene that will either enrage you or fill you with laughter.

  • The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

Truly the most I’ve laughed in a theater in a long time. Much more enjoyable than I thought it was going to be.

  • Spider-Man: No Way Home

    Spider-Man: No Way Home

Easily the MCU’s current best film. Those that bailed on the MCU post-Endgame missed out on a real gem here.
