Bullet Train is the definition of a fun summer blockbuster. It feels like the sharp whodunnit story of Rian Johnson’s Knives Out mixed with a much more violent take on Jackie Chan’s brand of action humor. Every character gets some time shine in this film whether it’s a great action sequence or just through the humor especially Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor Johnson, and Brian Tyree Henry the three are definitely the highlights of the film. Director David Leitch and cinematographer Jonathan Sela make a great team when it came to the shooting this film the slick camera movement on so many of the shots was satisfying to watch and when it came to the action there was no shaky cam bs or schizophrenic editing the cinematography for the action felt focused and again slick. Don’t even get me started on the soundtrack all the music in this film is used to perfection my two favorites being the Japanese covers of Holding Out For A Hero and Staying Alive. Bullet Train is a very fun time an excellent and fun summer blockbuster that is guaranteed to be a great time at the theater.
