I just realized I had never logged this. I'll review it in full at some point, but I just want to say that despite Fincher being such a stylish director, despite some thinking he's flashy, he proves them otherwise with the subtlety imbued throughout this film. He's not always about going big. Take the ending: Mark refreshes his friend request for Erica, with a slow push-in on his face as "Baby, You're A Rich Man" plays. It asks the question "how does it feel to be rich? How does it feel to have created a gigantic social network besides being socially inept? How does it feel to be successful but lonely? What could you have done otherwise? Can you change?" All through film form. One of the best films of the 21st century.
