    Tom Clancy's Without Remorse

The things I do for Michael B. Jordan <3

  • Dumbo

Not nearly traumatizing enough to be an effective Tim Burton movie, but I did enjoy Elfman’s score (definitely reminiscent of Edward Scissorhands) and the repairing of Keaton and DeVito

  • Jamaica Inn

    Jamaica Inn

This film is pretty dull and feels the most un-Hitchcock of all his movies so far. Unless you’re trying to finish most of his filmography, there’s nothing too substantial to make it worthy of 2 hours of attention- except maybe Charles Laughton’s eyebrows.

  • The Little Things

    The Little Things

This feels like an unnecessary extended version of a really mediocre episode of Criminal Minds

  • Tom Jones

    Tom Jones

both stars are for 2 hours of daddy warbucks and that’s all

  • Thor: The Dark World

    Thor: The Dark World

Though enjoyable if simply looking for a superhero action/fantasy movie, in its larger context the film seems bland. There is little emotional buildup or investment to keep the viewer engaged in the plot. The writing and plot connections seem to be the execution of a rough draft instead of a final, revised, perfected output expected of the MCU. The only substantial material to come out of the film that builds on the wider MCU story is the increasing complexity of the Thor/Loki relationship.
