Jordan Williams’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’m not a big fan of period pieces (Little Women aside) so this wasn’t really up my alley, but I made an effort to enjoy it as a Helena Bonham Carter & Maggie Smith stan. The cast is obviously great with Daniel Day-Lewis playing an extremely unlikeable snob, like this is probably the first role where I DONT like DDL. If you like British period pieces you’ll definitely enjoy this, but otherwise it’s not a necessary viewing.
Okay also why are 75% of big-name British actors either in Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, or Love Actually? Bonus points for those who star in multiple.
