M3GAN ★★★½

M3GAN sings Titanium in this movie. They really knew their target audience.

It's a very slow first half that started to make me worry, although the first half does do a good job exploring the grief of a child losing a parent (I didn't expect to cry during this movie), but the second half does pick up during a scene involving a boy and has a wild and fun third act. Never lives up to the heights of MALIGNANT and I wish M3GAN's kill count was one or two bodies higher than it is, but this was still solid even if it didn't meet my expectations. M3GAN as a character and a horror icon, however, is extremely well realized and is certain to be a classic. I do want more of here.
