While I don’t find this film to be a masterpiece like most others, I will say this is without a doubt one of the best made horror films of the last decade. 

Toni Collette, Alex Wolff, Gabriel Byrne and Milly Shapiro all give fantastic performances and it’s a real shame that Collette didn’t even nominated for her performance. 

Not many horror films stick with me long after the credits roll, but this one does, one of the most terrifying and frightening films in recent memory.

While if I had to pick, I would rather watch Midsommar, Hereditary is a great first feature film by Ari Aster and I’m very excited to see what he does next. This is a film everyone should see at least once.
