Dylan’s review published on Letterboxd:
Here we are at 5 stars because I don’t think I can really rate it lower. This is probably the best action I’ve ever seen.
There is still nothing quite like John Wick action. Every set piece, every choreographed punch, gun shot, kick, and other cool thing is done so well that you just sit in awe. From the roundabout sequence, to the stair sequence, to the incredible overhead track cam sequence you are left speechless because of peak filmmaking.
The cinematography is also a standout. With each movie both the action and cinematography seem to get better and this was no exception. It’s a gorgeous film.
The side characters were excellent. Each one of them had time to shine and they complement Wick so well. Donnie Yen is such an awesome dude.
This film has achieved a level of greatness I didn’t think existed for the action genre and here we are. Thank you Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves.
