The first movie of this trilogy, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, already was a blast, but Dawn of the Planet of the Apes manages to do even better than its predecessor. New and old characters, another director, a new tone and a great progression of the plot that has to be told in three movies. This one has even more emotion in it, and it is really crazy how they have a movie partly about apes one…

Almost one year ago, I saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes for the very first time. It was one of my first reviews on Letterboxd, and I remember that I was blown away by the movie. I gave it five stars back then, just because how everything is done is so very impressive. Is it still a five star? No, but is it bad? No, it is still in my opinion one of the better movies I…

There were so many songs in this movie that it eventually annoyed me, and most songs weren't very good either. The animation isn't very appealing from the first glance, but you get kind of used to that. Short runtime makes for some rushed parts, but the story is finely told overall. Joseph: King of Dreams is not very good, but not that terrible either.

Way, way, way better than the 2016 Suicide Squad. This time, more characters get a better background story and some have a nice arc. Idris Elba and John Cena both shine, and the things that happen between them is often very funny, but also a bit of emotional past is involved, making for emotional moments. Of course, Margot Robbie is also one of the greatest stars here, for she plays Harley Quinn so very well again. The mission they…

A domineering rancher responds with mocking cruelty when his brother brings home a new wife and her son, until the unexpected comes to pass.

Sometimes there is a movie where i'm emotionally attached to from begin to end. Well, The Power of the Dog is one of those movies. It just worked for me. It's my favorite movie from 2021 for what i've seen so far. Not only are the performances (near) perfect, but the story, the dialogue & the pacing…

After a successful mission, Quill and his team of galactic defenders meet Ego, a man claiming to be Quill's father. However, they soon learn some disturbing truths about Ego.

The MCU is just a vibe. Every single movie has it's own way of being entertaining, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 especially does very good with it's comedy. It's exactly the kind of humour that i like & i laughed at almost evey single joke, if not every joke. It…
