To start off, I went into this one with zero expectations. Going back to my review on X, I really don't care for it.

But I decided to give this prequel a chance, and I'm really glad I did.

First off, this movie looks and sounds gorgeous. The soundtrack and cinematography are so well done. The colours are vibrant and look like they are coming straight out of a Technicolor picture.

Overall, it has a really good balance of horror…

    Underwhelming horror movie.

The plot was decent, but could have been executed in a better way. Really didn't care for any of the characters either. It always helps to have some sort of character you can root for, or feel some sort of sympathy for, but this movie had none of that for me.

Overall, not too many scares here either. Most of them were quick cheap kills that you can see in so many other horror movies.

Went into it expecting way too much, so maybe that was my problem too.

It's been a few hours since I came out of the theatres from watching this.

I'm still in utter shock. This movie was insanely good.

    A total experience.

It took so many things from so many movies that I love and put it together into one.

I knew really nothing about this movie and didn't know what to expect, but I believe that's the best way to go into it.

It dragged in a few spots for me, but altogether…

"A thousand kisses later, will she still remember the taste of my tool on the tip of her tongue?"

Watched this movie for the second time, simply because I wanted to see if my opinion on it changed.

The first time I watched it was when it came to theatres. I went into it with way too high expectations and was ultimately a little bit disappointed.

Wes Anderson is easily one of my favorite directors and I was left wanting…
