Jonathan Hatting’s review published on Letterboxd:
Well this wasn’t really my cup of tea. It is only my second Steve McQueen film (my first being 12 Years a Slave which I really like) and while I really like his style and way of directing Shame just didn’t do it for me. I felt as if it never left its shell and it made for a film where I didn’t care much for its characters.
Carey Mulligan deserves better.
