Scavenger Hunt #57 | Task 3
While it is hard to argue wether Billy Wilder is one of the most influential directors of all time, I have had a hard time being truly captivated by his films to be honest. I loved Sunset Boulevard, but since then having watched The Apartment and now Double Indemnity they didn’t do it for me as well as I had hoped. Don’t get me wrong they are top notch film making, but I have been missing that one thing to make me truly love them.
I hope future rewatches or a grander understanding of the times and his work will help, but for now I see Double Indemnity as a great film that I sadly didn’t love as much as I had hoped.
