Writer and director Drew Goddard somehow manages to outdo himself and succeeds in not falling into the dreaded sophomore slump hole with Bad Times at the El Royale, engaging his audience with captivating storytelling and characters, a twisty and smartly crafted script, strong dialogue, excellent performances, razor-sharp tension, a great soundtrack, and a breathtaking visual style that complements the story flawlessly and enchants the viewer throughout.
