A hell of a lot more fun than I remember. The humor doesn't quite work and the CGI can look very dated, but all the stunts & swordfights are so much fun and the plot with a bunch of backstabbing, unpredictable characters is a lot of fun even if it can feel a bit messy. However, the best part is easily the extremely memorable score. I have multiple friends who have said they want to make love to that main theme "He's a Pirate" (which has lyrics if you didn't know). It's definitely one of the many, many family action films that have spawned out of the typhoon of Star Wars, but I had a blast with it.
