Very good, as far as tales like this are concerned.

Although it circled for a bit, and stayed on the surface when I felt it could've gone deeper, it was plenty heartwarming.

Saw it for Nighy, and he did not disappoint. Really subtle work, but a performance that lingers.

Brisk 100 minutes. The story structure helped with that. Threw me a couple times. In a good way.

I should have watched this a month ago. This was not good for my post-holiday sadness.

It's good. Writers are writing well. Actors are acting well. Rob Reiner, good job. It's good...

Ironic that the age gap nearly matches that between Humphrey and Ingrid in Casablanca.

Yo. Woah. How did this happen?

A film I laughed at the idea of finds itself among my favorite of the year?

Characters. Animation. Best animated villain? (Certainly the coolest.) I'm blown away by the creativity.

What's wrong with it? I honestly can't say. And I can't say the same of even some of my favorite films of the year.

Maybe I'm too excited, and this review might level out, but this thing is... wow.

Best damn thing I've seen all year. Can't fault it on anything.

I wish I loved film as much as Steven Spielberg. Scenes of him discovering film and making his first bring a joy unknown.

Incredible performances. Dano and Williams, to be expected. But LaBelle was a delight, and the sisters brought me to tears.

Moves at a beautiful pace. Quick 150 minutes. Could have stayed in it longer. But it ended where it needed to, and we know the rest.

Already want to watch it again. I'll be thinking about this one.
