There's no fucking way this movie was made for just $80m. No way.

Loved the first two tension-filled acts, but the last third left a kinda sour taste in my mouth. I admire the subversive nature of it, but it just didn’t really work for me.
Like Prey, it’s disappointing this didn’t get a theatrical run. The Mouse dropped the ball sending this straight to Hulu. I would’ve loved to see this in the theater just for the startling sound design alone. Let alone getting to experience the film’s more-suspenseful moments with an equally-tensed crowd.
Regardless of how this film left me, my main takeaway from it is that Kaitlyn Dever is indeed a goddamn star.
You know how there's usually a dreadfully awful horror film that almost always seems to get released on the first Friday of every year?
Yeah, M3GAN ain't the latest victim to that tradition. M3GAN, the queen, basically said "Bitch, please. Let me show y'all how it's done", proceeding to do her TikTok dance above the graves of all the films that had contributed to said tradition.
I know this is only the first wide release of the year, but fuck…
The last few minutes of this were what I wanted more of the movie to be, because up until then, I felt like I was at the circus. But of course my theater was eating up every last screaming goat gag like it was cotton candy, because people sure love their junk food.
Just watch Interstellar.
