Leviathan 1989
Not exaggerating when I say this is a bold step beyond "Alien rip-off" and into "unlicensed Alien remake" (there's literally a character named Jonesy!), but it also throws some major The Thing body horror into the mix thanks to FX legend Stan Winston of, uh, Aliens and The Thing fame. Lots of goopy skin sores and bodies transmorphing and chopped off tentacles that slither away and eventually latch onto people like leeches. Gross!! And so fun. Why bother making new movies when you can just take pre-existing ones and make them grosser?
