Joseph M.’s review published on Letterboxd:
Captivating, masterful, and wholly unique in its execution. It’s truly one of the most brilliantly written films I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing all year. The parallels drawn (pun intended) between the acts of painting and the unfolding romance are so cleverly intertwined in a way that lets the story unfold naturally, hitting all the emotional beats needed to be felt along the journey.
Céline Sciamma has crafted a truly special film here. A film that feels so distinctly feminine: powerful, elegant, at times enigmatic, and altogether refreshing.
