I am almost at a loss for words. So incredibly full of life and empathy, I don’t think there was a moment on the last hour of the movie where I wasn’t crying. Every moment warrants your full attention and is so necessary. Every shot feels important and every word spoken feels like it should be cherished. Yalitza Aparicio is phenomenal and absolutely deserves that best actress nomination and win in my opinion. I don’t know exactly how to put this but I have never felt that much love for a character. My heart broke a million times over everytime something happened and it is all in how Yalitza plays Cleo.
Wow. I just still cannot get over it.
