Yeah, the advertisements sell this as a creepy horror film but in all honesty this is one of the funniest films I've seen all year. As someone who was mildly let down by The Lobster, this was a happy surprise. It's so weird and strange but I was laughing my butt off for a good majority of the movie. It feels like if Kubrick and Wes Anderson had a demented film-influenced child, that's the only way to describe it. Yes it's as amazing as it sounds. Collin Ferrell and Nicole Kidman overact and underact at the same time I don't quite know how to describe it. The camera movement and music makes it feel like a horror film but everyone is so awkward in it and the dialogue is just so weird and hilarious. Yep, pretty great.
