Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure 1989
works as well as it does, and remains as iconic as it is, because the films never takes the kindness of Bill and Ted for granted or turns it into the butt of a joke — despite their flaws, which are never treated as a handicap but rather an attribute, Bill and Ted are everyday heroes, they just happen to be heroes who like tasty air guitar riffs and think the number 69 is really funny (gives me hope)
