There’s a particular subplot that ties up too neatly but overall this is spectacular. I’m glad The Power of the Dog got me into watching more of Jane Campion, starting her filmography off with Holy Smoke was a mistake. What I love the most is that it’s willing to go to places and extremes that other shows of the same genre will only tease, and it’s very thrilling while still being plausible (except for the aforementioned convenient storyline ending).
