Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the war room.
“Power hath descended forth from Thy hand Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be”
This movie doesn’t give two fucks, and just wants to live out dreams. I needed something fun like this really bad. Also, Willem Dafoe just steals the shit out of this show. I’d like to see a movie just about his character.
In spite of the anticlimactic ending, I was moved by Fresa y Chocolate. The portrayal of internal struggles within the same fight serves as an allegory to many revolutions with a same goal but contradicting ideologies.
The film holds its strength thanks to the amazing acting by everyone involved. There are only three main locations in the whole movie, but it never feels small thanks to the extravagant portrayal of Diego by Jorge Perugorría.
Le Samouraï: The movie so cool, characters don’t have to speak.
Leon the Professional, John Wick, Taxi Driver, The Mandalorian and others own their existence to this brilliant masterpiece. Costello has to be one of the coolest characters ever portrayed on screen. His dialogue is almost non existent, his facial expressions minimal, and his style undeniable.
This film feels like a dress that was made with a light blue colour palette, that has all the tiny details and sowing techniques necessary…
