I LOVED this!!! I'm very lucky to have seen it as part of the Reeling Film Festival, at Chicago Filmmakers, with Stephen Winter in attendance, doing literally THE most fabulous Q&A I have ever seen after the screening.

REALLY liked this! Shockingly faithful to Pride and Prejudice (give or take a couple supporting characters), but also perceptive toward contemporary cultural norms in a way that I see many present-day films try and fail to achieve. The zingers landed! The sexy parts were sexy! Class hierarchies were observed and dissected! Had a great time. I anticipate horny gay men and Jane Austen aficionados will eat it up. And Joel Kim Booster, if you’re reading this, I would like to kiss you at the after-party.
