  i loved it, but i wish it felt like a movie!

  to make myself clear, this is very much a Marvel movie (to a fault). it actually works the momentum very well within its three act structure, even if it is predictable. they had to juggle a shit ton of things in the script. it's a miracle that this came together cohesively and in a FUN way, for the most part. the apartment scene is goddamn insane, and uses goblin…

  wong kar wai is a touching director, finding ways into the heart when the watcher doesn't even fully understand it in the moment. i'm just left in awe, and wholly attached to his characters like that.

  melancholic, hypnotic, sublime, chaotic, colorful, nauseating, romantic, crushing, playful, mind-melting

  a melting pot of different tones to portray the doomed romance and drifting of this gay couple. the highs are sky high and the lows are down the falls. what a ride, and one that i'm so excited to take again and again.
