I was pretty entertained and curious to see what they were going to throw into this movie next. That said, the film introduced more ideas in the plot than it cared to make sense of. I was down to explore this underground chef society/fight club but we really didn't get the chance. Some of the character choices seemed pretty disjointed, especially the dad character. The ending: almost total nonsense.
I think this would have benefitted from either being more of a black comedy (at times I was wondering if that was the intention here, but seemingly not) or maybe leaned a little more into being a surrealist revenge story. Instead, this ended up being a pretty straightforward film that rushed through a lot of the details. It's kind of a shame because I felt like Pig had the potential to be a much better movie. Worth a watch.
