A trypticon of gentle portraits, connected through mood and places more than through plot. These three women share a certain kind of loneliness - though one the surface only one of them is lonely. It is also a sincereness that they all struggle with of being able to communicate and being understood when they do so.
When Gina (Michelle Williams) interprets the answer of the quail as "I'm just fine" this is no real communication. Call and answer only confirm presences but we are afraid to answer how we are really doing.
