Rewatched on DVD so JKR doesn't get a penny and donated the equivalent cost of a cinema ticket to Manchester Pride. Trans rights forever and always.

The first film I remember seeing in the cinema 19 years ago with my best friend and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

They definitely made the right approach with this film after Columbus left. The series only got darker from here and Alfonso Cuarón was the perfect person to set that tone up.

David Thewlis, Gary Oldman and Timothy Spall raised the bar for acting in this franchise and put in some really powerful performances. You can really believe they were friends with Harry's dad and that scene in the shack is brilliantly directed.
