Definitively the better version.
Unfortunately the great CGI, gore, and fan service doesn’t make up for the terrible acting and lacklustre storytelling :( plus some really subpar primary locations. Some of the humour genuinely made me laugh out loud, though. Most of the time, however, the almost completely empty chemistry ruined it.
Sound of Metal follows drummer, Ruben, as he deals with the weight of losing his hearing and the implications of it in his relationships, career, and everyday life as he knows it.
