Fortunate that I’m warming up to the series just as the series looks as though it is warming up to its audience. This movie seemed a great deal more intentional and cohesive than the prior films, with a lesser emphasis on monster/professor of the week, and more on Harry’s personal growth. While I may object to the fact that this personal growth led Harry to gleefully gaslight the most lovable character in the series, I can’t deny that I enjoyed watching it. Expelionus, or whatever.
