who doesn’t love a psychological drama of a character facing existential dread every now and then? really wish i could’ve seen Spencer in theaters, because every frame is a painting in larrain & mathon world so pastelle and beautiful even wes anderson’s most colorful wet dream couldn't think of. yet it’s perfectly dissecting the horrors of Diana’s crumbling mental health through phenomenally orchestrated figures and symbols. the last 5 minutes or so didn’t entirely stick the landing and i feel like you have to be at least somewhat of a Diana fan to really understand everything going on. johnny greenwood’s score is the best of 2021 and kristen stewart is as incredible as everyone has been saying. screenplay, direction, editing, actress, score, and cinematography nominations - yes please!
