Oppenheimer 2023
Oppenheimer was one of the most astounding cinematic experiences I’ve had since Interstellar. Nolan is experimenting with new styles of surrealist and subjective filmmaking to him which is so incredible to see from such a seasoned writer and director. He’s pushing the envelope with Oppenheimer and challenging the audience like never before.
The visuals on 70mm IMAX projection left me speechless. Every shot from Hoyte van Hoytema is an aesthetic masterclass.
Ludwig Göransson‘s score will make the hairs on your skin stand.
Cillian is exceptional, but look out for RDJ grabbing a golden statue this year.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 2023
SNOW ORIGINS!!!! Excellent filmmaking and a hypnotizing lead performance from Tom Blyth. Viola Davis is mother. Rachel Zegler sings her butt off. But the film is held back from a runtime that feels 30 minutes too long.
