Michael James’s review published on Letterboxd:
It’s formulaic and predictable with workable humor, but the martial arts action choreography were executed and shot exceptionally well. The final battle, though a bit cluttered with a tad too heavy CGI, it has few amazing moments. The casting of Simu Liu, Tony Leung in the lead works in its favor, well supported by the rest of cast. The flashbacks adds to the emotional beats, despite being conventional. Though it doesn’t blow your minds away, it’s a fun and entertaining standalone origin movie from the marvel universe.
